The artist’s style exemplifies abstract expressionism… Jocelyne BONZOM is fascinated by plants, the vegetal world has always been the hub of her universe.
Music and color
Music has always drawn her.
Creation results from this complex game in which rhythm and painting enjoy a close relationship. A tangled maze of emotions and musical images reflecting the artist’s mood are formed into images and the brush strikes them on the canvas.
Jocelyne Bonzom’s painting, like any spontaneous outpouring of creative energy is born of a purely irrepressible carnal and emotional strength. Her painting is deeply rooted in the mineral and the vegetal world, in the arid landscapes of her cherished Ariège (in the French Pyreneas) where she was raised and nurtured.
In her paintings nothing is ever stilted and a mere object reveals many others.
The artist’s tour de force lies in the evolution of the spectator’s
eyes.

PAINTING
First
and foremost a colorist, she uses mixed techniques(acrylic, pastel
and collage) on different materials (canvas, brown wrapping paper
and linen).She carries on exloring form and matter finding inspiration
in the " vegetable-world ".
Her
painting is resolutely contemporary, half way between abstract
and figurative art, and evolving constantly, in the style of the
" abstract-expressionism ".
J.B proceed from a figurative element, stylize its form and create
an atmosphere. Her paintings convey strong and colored impressions.
Her
aim, is to guide the " viewer " in a world of appeasement,
where every one of us, shall take refuge and emotion.
